Who We Support

About Covington Training Institute

The Covington Training Institute (CTI) provides evidence-based, trauma-informed, and gender-responsive training and consulting. Founded and led by Dr. Stephanie S. Covington, the Institute equips behavioral health, criminal justice, and community-based organizations with compassionate, research-grounded systems of care.

01 / The Role

Be the calm, reassuring partner in the virtual room.

As a virtual producer, you work side-by-side with workshop trainers. You handle the tech—managing Zoom, running breakout rooms, and helping people in chat—so facilitators can focus entirely on guiding the session and sharing information, while participants engage seamlessly.

01

Set Up the Space

Check in early with the presenter, test any videos or slides, and make sure everything is ready before participants arrive.

02

Keep Things Moving

Help with chat questions, post links or prompts, launch simple polls, and open breakout rooms for group conversations.

03

Lend a Hand with Tech

Help attendees with microphone, audio, or connection questions quietly in private chat so the main group isn't interrupted.

04

Support the Presenter

Keep an eye on timing, flag key attendee comments, and be a steady, friendly partner throughout the workshop.

02 / How It Works

Built to Fit Your Schedule

Participation can fit around other professional commitments. Producers choose individual assignments based on what works for their calendar.

Step 01 · Opportunities

Say Yes When You're Free

Upcoming workshop dates are shared ahead of time. You simply pick up the events that work comfortably for you.

Step 02 · Friendly Guidance

Learn by Doing Together

You'll start out co-producing alongside someone experienced, learning CTI's rhythm and session flow with zero guesswork.

Step 03 · Running Your Own

Step Up on Your Own

Once you feel completely comfortable with the flow, you can take on producing complete workshops independently.

Compensation context, not an offer: Historical CTI rates reflect $15/hour while co-producing during initial orientation, stepping up to $30/hour for independent event production. ASK does not guarantee terms or assignments. Candidates must confirm current rates, payment arrangements, requirements, and event availability directly with CTI.
03 / Who Fits Well

What makes someone great at this?

You don't need to be an IT expert. What matters most is staying patient, communicating kindly, and being comfortable with everyday virtual tools.

  • ✓
Patient When Things Glitch: You stay calm and reassuring if someone's sound drops, a connection lags, or a participant needs extra help.
  • ✓
Comfortable Multitasking: You can follow what the speaker is saying while keeping an eye on the chat and timing.
  • ✓
A Helping Heart: You enjoy being the helpful hand behind the curtain making sure instructors and learners have a great day.

An Introduction from Carl.
A Decision by CTI.

ASK Global Enterprises is glad to share this exclusive opportunity with you.

We don't hire or contract on behalf of CTI. Covington Training Institute makes all their own onboarding, qualification, and scheduling decisions.

04 / A Quick Self-Check

Is This a Good Fit for You?

Take a quiet moment to see how these statements feel. Check off any that sound like you.

1. I genuinely enjoy helping people and supporting virtual workshops behind the scenes.
2. I'm comfortable with the basics of Zoom (chat, breakout rooms, muting, and sharing screens).
3. I'm comfortable learning a workshop routine and following straightforward instructions.
4. I communicate clearly, show up on time, and follow through on commitments I make.
5. I understand my role is to keep the tech and logistics running smoothly, not to facilitate the training.
6. I'm open to having an introductory conversation with CTI about working together.
7. I have a dependable computer, a reliable or steady internet connection, and a relatively quiet space to work during live events.
No pressure to have it all figured out: You don't need to check every single box to start a conversation. If you have the basic equipment, are comfortable with technology, and are eager to learn, we would love to hear from you.
